ARCHIVE OF SPEAKERS LIST with CONTACT INFORMATION

This list will be updated as I investigate.  I am looking for MICHIGAN quilters for the most part but I am posting speakers as I find them.  Contact information is from their web pages.  I am hoping this makes it easier for guild program coordinator to find speakers.

Many of the speakers have PRIVATE EMAIL PROGRAMS on their web pages and this is their preferred method of contact ... look at the CONTACT or ABOUT page for those email connections.  If I have permission I add their email to this page.

BECKY MAGNUS
Trunk Show

Rebecca Magnus of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan made this Square in a Square quilt in 2001. She remembers: “I was tying the knots in the last two sections of machine quilting threads when I saw the 2nd plane hit the World Trade Center. This will forever be etched in my mind – where I was and what I was doing.” Magnus documented her quilt through the Michigan Quilt Project.

Additionally, Chris offers lectures on quilt care, project management and stash control. Her "Ugly Quilt" lecture is a real hoot! Workshops include quilt restoration, appliqué design and basic to advanced construction techniques.

Friendship:
We have been friends for several years and share a passion for quilting.  But our designs and techniques are totally opposite.  Linda likes to paper piece, machine piece and make bargellos.  Some of her paper piecing is very complex and uses thousands and thousands of pieces.  Leslie prefers to do hand needle turn applique, wool applique, red work and color tinting fabric.  Together, we bring sixty to ninety quilts to show, which should please everyone.

When I get desperate for speakers I start calling quilt shops in a 100 mile radius around my town.  Quilt shops often have teachers willing to come and give a workshop.  Eye Candy aka TRUNK SHOWS of all kind of quilts are often shown at the guild meeting.  The prices of the lectures and workshops tend to be less expensive but still of a high quality.
