FOUR
CORNERS is coming to
DESQG for the June meeting.
As we have so many new members I am taking
the time to explain the event.
There will
be modules set up around the guild hall where demonstrations will be given for
a quilt block or project or a specific technique. Usually these mini lessons help teach new
quilters and reinforce skills of long time quilters.
The sessions
last about 15 to 20 minutes each. We ask
that if you attend a session that you do not talk during the demo.
Questions can be asked at the end of the session and they are greatly appreciated.
The sessions
are taught by guild members who volunteer.
We really appreciate their willingness and time spent to set up these demonstrations.
.
.
MAKE and
TAKE is scheduled for the August meeting.
Members will
need to SIGN UP for a MAKE and
TAKE activity in advance. At sign up there will be a sample of what
will be taught in the demonstration The member will be given instructions to
any preparation that needs to be done prior to the MAKE AND TAKE
event. The guild hopes that there will
be classes to encompass everyone interest.
If you are
willing to teach a 4 corners
or a MAKE and Take session
let a board member know. We will
probably have more of these activities in the future. If you have ideas for other guild activities
let the board know and we will see if they can be implemented.

Thanks, good explanation.
