It’s November!

AmiThis month’s meeting is going to be awesome, so don’t miss it if you can help it!

<= First, Ami will be with us.  If you haven’t met Ami Simms yet, you’re in for a treat!  Be prepared to laugh and learn a lot.

Second, it’s time to reveal our 2011 challenge quilts!  Just so you remember, here were the rules:

*  Due at the November meeting.2011 Challenge 001
*  Must be a completed (quilted and bound) 25" square quilt including a quilt label.
*  You can only use a total of 2 fabrics - the fat quarter given and an additional fabric of your  choosing.
*  You can have it quilted by another quilter if you'd like.  You must give credit on the quilt label for the quilter.
*  You are welcome to embellish the piece.  You can use ribbons, beads, buttons, decorative threads, etc.  Ribbons may not be used as a third fabric though.
*  You can make your piece using any method of quilting you like.  Applique, piecing, foundation piecing, fussy cutting, etc.

It will be fun to see what everybody did with their fat quarter!

It’s Membership Month!  If you haven’t yet sent in your membership form and paid your dues for the coming year, please bring them with you.  Here’s the membership form if you can’t find yours.  Just click HERE.

Reminder:

Please wear your name tag…

See you there!

December 2010 Meeting

Our annual holiday potluck will be December 29th, halfway between Christmas day and New Year's Eve. Bring a dish to share, your own place setting and beverage. Hot tea and coffee will be provided. After we're all full of food and talk, we'll have blotto, show and tell, and then 'Dirty Santa". If you want to participate, bring a gift, homemade or $10 limit, wrapped mysteriously, and put it in the pile. (NO empty surprises, please.) Then sit back and watch the fun. Doors open at 6 pm - eating begins at 6:30.

New Guild Officers for 2011:

  • President: Sharon Muston

  • Vice President: Vacant…. Volunteer Needed

  • Secretary: Sheila Arbaugh

  • Treasurer: Sue Cole

  • Past President: Anne Wohlfeil

These members will make up the Board.  As you can see, there is no Vice President. Anyone who would like to or thinks they would like to step into the office please call Sharon or any board member to discuss the position. You can fill this position without stepping into the president's position if you want.
Traditionally the vice president steps into the president's position, but it is not set in stone.
We are forming a committee to secure speakers for 2012. If you would like to join and bring your suggestions and opinion please contact, Sharon.
